A 49-year-old Glen View woman appeared before the Harare Magistrates' Court over allegations that she fraudulently imported a Nissan Caravan NV350 into Zimbabwe using forged documents before the vehicle passed through several buyers and was eventually impounded by the Zimbabwe Revenue Authority.
Primrose Makwiramiti, of Glen View 3, is alleged to have imported the vehicle through Chirundu Border Post in June 2024 using documents containing false information.
According to the State, Makwiramiti and an accomplice who remains at large allegedly obtained registration number AGO 7998 for the vehicle before handing it to Ian Muromba of Braeside Car Sale to sell on their behalf.
