Prize Money Increase for Women’s T20 World Cup 2026

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has placed an emphasis on the rising investment on women’s cricket after announcing an increase in the prize money pool for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, set to be hosted in England and Wales.

The total prize fund has risen to US$8,764,615, marking a 10% increase from the 2024 edition. The ICC highlighted that this latest boost reflects the rapid commercial and competitive growth of the women’s game, as the tournament expands from 10 to 12 teams for the first time in its history.

The most significant headline figure remains the winners’ reward, with the champions set to receive US$2,340,000. The runners-up will earn US$1,170,000, while each losing semi-finalist will take home US$675,000. Every group-stage win will also carry a prize of US$31,154, and all participating teams are guaranteed a minimum payout of US$247,500, underlining a broader effort to ensure stronger financial support across all competing nations.
