Harare’s Luxury Scene Gets a Boost as CoCoNut Lounge Opens in Glen Lorne

Harare’s evolving lifestyle landscape has gained a new premium destination following the opening of CoCoNut Lounge in the tranquil suburb of Glen Lorne, introducing a space designed to merge fine dining, leisure, and business sophistication under one roof.

Positioned as more than a traditional restaurant, CoCoNut Lounge presents itself as a curated lifestyle experience aimed at redefining how residents and visitors socialise, network, and unwind in the capital.

From the moment guests enter, the venue signals a deliberate departure from the conventional. Elegant interiors, ambient lighting, and carefully designed social spaces create an atmosphere that balances exclusivity with comfort, appealing to both professionals and leisure seekers.

Manager Malvin Ncube says the concept was born out of a desire to introduce a holistic premium environment to Harare’s hospitality scene.

“CoCoNut Lounge was created to offer a complete lifestyle experience, not just a place to eat, but a space where people can relax, meet, work, and celebrate in a premium environment,” he said.

The lounge has already begun attracting notable personalities, including acclaimed Zimbabwean actress Tinopona Katsande, who praised the venue’s distinctive atmosphere.

“It’s rare to find a place that truly balances style and substance,” Katsande said. “From the moment you walk in, the energy is different — elegant, yet welcoming. This is exactly what Harare has been missing.”

At the heart of the establishment is a kitchen focused on culinary artistry, transforming familiar ingredients into refined, visually striking dishes. Each plate is designed not only to satisfy taste but also to deliver an elevated dining experience aligned with global hospitality trends.

Beyond its culinary offering, CoCoNut Lounge has been structured to serve a diverse clientele. The space accommodates intimate coffee meetings, corporate engagements, social gatherings, and exclusive events. A key highlight is its VVIP section — a private enclave offering discretion, luxury, and personalised service tailored for high-profile guests seeking privacy.

“We built this space for everyone,” Ncube said. “Whether it’s a casual coffee, a business meeting, or a private VVIP experience, we want every guest to feel catered for at the highest level.”

The opening also reflects Glen Lorne’s growing reputation as one of Harare’s emerging lifestyle and investment corridors, where upscale hospitality concepts are reshaping urban leisure and dining culture.

With a strong emphasis on service excellence, presentation, and consistency, CoCoNut Lounge aims to establish itself as a benchmark for premium hospitality in Zimbabwe.

Looking ahead, Ncube says the vision extends beyond a single venue.

“Whether it’s cocktails with friends or a business meeting over coffee, we want CoCoNut Lounge to be the first place that comes to mind,” he said.

If early reactions are any indication, Harare’s social scene may have found its newest luxury hotspot.
