
The body of a man who had been reported missing earlier this month has been discovered in Norton,
In an official statement, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe announced that Shingirai Chikosha, who had been missing since 13 March 2026, was found deceased in Norton. The development has prompted an ongoing investigation by the Zimbabwe Republic Police into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and subsequent death.
According to the Authority, police are conducting thorough inquiries and are appealing to members of the public who may have relevant information to come forward. The goal is to piece together the events leading up to the incident and determine any factors that may have contributed to his death.

“The Zimbabwe Republic Police is currently conducting thorough investigations into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and subsequent death,” NPA said in its statement. “We kindly appeal to anyone who may have information that could assist the Police in their investigations to report to their nearest police station.”
The NPAZ also expressed appreciation to individuals and organizations who participated in search efforts and provided support during the period of uncertainty. The case had sparked concern among community members, with many hoping for a safe return before the tragic outcome was confirmed.
In a message of condolence, the Authority extended its sympathies to the family of the deceased, acknowledging the profound loss they are facing. “Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Chikosha’s family, particularly his wife and children, as they navigate this profound loss. May they find comfort and strength during this time of grief,” the statement read.
Chikosha had been employed by the Authority as a driver
He was last seen on 12 March 2026 at around 2100 hours in Kuwadzana 2, Harare.
