Chiefs head coach John Nyikadzino says he is ready to build on their positive start to the 2026 campaign when they travel to face Agama at Wadzanai Stadium on Sunday in the PSL match day 2
Nyikadzino, a respected Zimbabwean headcoach with a reputation for guiding clubs to PSL promotion, had built a strong coaching resume over the years. The CAF A licence holder previously led Chapungu F.C. to Premier League promotion in 2013 and later achieved similar success with Nichrut F in 2018 and Sheasham in 2022, cementing his status as one of the country’s respected football tacticians.
The Ninjas head into the weekend fixture looking to build on the momentum from their opening 1–1 draw match against Highlanders in the Bulawayo Derby at Barbourfields Stadium.

Nyikadzino believes that performance showed the resilience and competitive spirit within his squad as they prepare for their first away assignment of the season.
“We have to manage their supporters by playing better than Agama. We know it will not be easy. We are playing away from home, but we are prepared for the game,” he said.
The Chiefs coach expects a competitive encounter against the newly promoted Agama side, who secured promotion to the top flight after winning the Northern Region Division One title.
