SECZim Cancels Licences of Two Investment Advisory Firms

 

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe has cancelled the licences of two investment advisory firms following what it described as a voluntary surrender of licences.

In a notice numbered 11022026, the regulator said it had acted in terms of the law to cancel the licences.

“It is hereby notified that the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe has, in terms of section 48 of the Securities & Exchange Act [Chapter 24:25], as read with Securities (Registration, Licensing and Corporate Governance) Rules, S.I. 100 of 2010, cancelled licences of securities (investment advisers) listed below,” reads the notice.

The affected firms are Nolas Advisory Services (Private) Limited and Pax Prosperitas Advisory (Private) Limited. According to the notice, both licences were cancelled on January 13, 2026.

Nolas Advisory Services (Private) Limited, which held licence number SECZ4567V, had its licence cancelled on 13-01-26. Pax Prosperitas Advisory (Private) Limited, licence number SECZ4576V, was also cancelled on the same date.

The notice was signed by Acting Chief Executive Officer Grace Berejena on behalf of the Commission.

While the notice is titled “Voluntary Surrender of Licences,” the Commission did not provide further details on the circumstances surrounding the surrender or the implications for clients of the affected firms.

SECZ is the statutory body mandated to regulate and supervise the securities and capital markets in Zimbabwe.
