A 35-year-old man, Jethro Mubaiwa, appeared before magistrate Jesse Kufa at the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing charges of stealing a motor vehicle and other valuables.
The complainant, Mike Mupinga, was remanded in custody at Harare Central Prison on May 31, 2025, leaving his unregistered maroon BMW X6 M Sport (chassis number WBSKW820200994012) parked at his Ridgeview residence in Belvedere, Harare.
While Mupinga was incarcerated, Mubaiwa allegedly approached his girlfriend, Girl Angel Chinamhora, claiming he had been sent by Mupinga to collect the vehicle, a MacBook laptop, a Phoenix cellphone, an iPhone and US$13,200 in cash.
