Mandara Property, Toyota Hilux Forfeited in NetOne Corruption Case

The High Court in Harare has ordered the forfeiture of a luxury vehicle and a Mandara property linked to corruption at NetOne Cellular, following an application by the Prosecutor-General through the Asset Forfeiture Unit.

The ruling, delivered on January 14, 2026, targets former NetOne cashier Daniel Kalira and four other respondents implicated in the acquisition of high-value assets using proceeds of unlawful activities.

The court ordered the forfeiture to the State of a Toyota Hilux Double Cab and an undivided 6.0283 percent share (Share Number 18) in Stand 913, Mandara Township—a 3.6134-hectare property held under Deed of Transfer 3518/2016.

Kalira, cited as the first respondent, was employed by NetOne Cellular, a State-owned telecommunications company.

The second respondent, who represented himself in court, was found to have links to the assets, while the third and fourth respondents were cited for their roles in holding or facilitating the registration of the properties.

The High Court directed all respondents to sign the necessary transfer documents within seven days. Failure to comply will result in the Sheriff of Zimbabwe being authorised to effect the transfers on their behalf.

In addition, the fourth respondent was ordered to facilitate the registration of ownership of the assets in favour of the State.
