A 19-year-old woman from Hatcliffe, Hazel Ncube, has appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court facing a charge of attempted murder after she allegedly struck her husband on the head with a beer bottle during a domestic dispute.
The incident is said to have occurred on December 15, 2025, at around 4pm at the couple’s residence in Hatcliffe.
According to court papers, an argument broke out between the couple over an undisclosed matter. During the altercation, Ncube allegedly grabbed a beer bottle and struck the complainant on the head.

A neighbour who witnessed the aftermath reportedly alerted the complainant’s sister, who rushed to the scene and found the victim unconscious.
The complainant was immediately taken to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, where he is receiving medical treatment.
Ncube was arrested and is expected to return to court on January 7, 2026, as investigations continue.
