A significant investment of US$5.2 million was poured into these facilities alone, forming a key part of RTG’s wider US$26 million capital investment programme over the past five years. This revitalisation effort wasn't just cosmetic; it was a fundamental commitment to enhancing quality, efficiency, and international appeal, setting a new benchmark for excellence in the region.

The extensive upgrade has transformed the Rainbow Towers Hotel into a symbol of modern elegance and sophistication. The most luxurious element of the refurbishment involved the redesign of three floors to create six new premium suites, bringing the total number of suites to ten. These are explicitly tailored for high-profile delegations and executive guests.

Each premium suite is a sanctuary of exclusivity, featuring two en-suite bedrooms, a plush lounge, a private dining area, a sleek kitchenette, and a guest bathroom. Attention to detail is evident in every corner, with ambient lighting, rich textures, smart amenities, and sustainable materials combining to deliver a seamless, high-end experience required by discerning international clientele.

Beyond the suites, an additional 48 guest rooms were reimagined in a minimalist aesthetic. These rooms blend soft neutral tones with Zimbabwean artistry to create a serene atmosphere, offering a tranquil haven for both business and leisure travellers.

 The HICC, the only colosseum-style venue in Africa with a vast 4,500-seat capacity, is now equipped for the demands of the modern hybrid event environment. The upgrade introduced state-of-the-art enhancements: ergonomic seating with integrated charging ports, cutting-edge acoustic systems, and advanced digital conferencing technology. These features reaffirm HICC’s pre-eminent position as Zimbabwe’s go-to venue for regional summits, international conventions, and high-level State engagements.

 RTG Chief Executive Tendai Madziwanyika spoke with evident pride about the transformation. “The refashioning of the Rainbow Towers Hotel & Conference Centre has breathed new life into the hotel,” he stated. “It offers timeless comfort with a modern twist. We are already seeing the positive impact of this investment as occupancy has grown considerably. We are optimistic about the future performance of this hotel, positioning Zimbabwe as a premier destination for regional and international meetings and conferences.”
