Zimbabwe reaffirmed its commitment to international partnerships and investment during the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s address was delivered on his behalf by Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Professor Amon Murwira, at the Zimbabwe Business Roundtable Discussion.
Murwira said Zimbabwe was positioning itself as a hub for trade, innovation, and industrialisation, anchored on stability and inclusivity.
“Zimbabwe is a friend to all and an enemy to none,” he said.
He highlighted the country’s strengths, pointing to a highly educated population and vast natural resources.
“With a literacy rate among the highest in the world, and a young and skilled workforce, Zimbabwe is positioning itself as a hub for trade, innovation, and industrialisation,” he said.

“The Government reaffirms its dedication to investor protection, economic predictability, and equal treatment for all business partners,” he said.
He further noted that Zimbabwe’s geographical location provided investors with a gateway into wider markets.
“Our positioning within SADC and the African Continental Free Trade Area opens access to markets exceeding 1.3 billion people,” he said.
Murwira added that Zimbabwe remained committed to policies that promoted growth and cooperation.
“Zimbabwe is open for business. With policies designed to foster investment and growth, and a spirit of dignity and peace guiding its engagements, the nation invites the world to explore, collaborate, and prosper together,” he said.
