Lowveld Football Academy, based in Triangle, Chiredzi, is excited to announce that two of its rising stars, Walter Siwela and Ruben Ruben, have signed with Division One side Tongogara FC. The move highlights the academy’s continued success in developing young players ready to take the next step in their football careers.

Walter and Ruben have been with the academy for several years, progressing steadily through its structured development system. Their journey included intensive technical and tactical training, physical conditioning, and psychological support aimed at shaping well-rounded athletes both on and off the pitch.

“These players have been integral to our academy for a long time,” said Coach Motion Mavhuna. “We’ve seen their growth and maturity improve year after year. They’ve earned this opportunity.”

Coach Lazarus Sithole, a former Masvingo United and Triangle FC player, praised their attitude and dedication: “Walter and Ruben brought consistency, hunger, and a positive mindset to every training session. They’ve set a great example for the younger players.”

Throughout their development, the players featured prominently in academy matches, showcasing their talent and gaining valuable experience in competitive settings. The academy’s comprehensive program focuses on four key pillars of development—technical, tactical, physical, and mental preparation—which played a vital role in preparing them for this move.

“Tongogara FC is gaining fantastic players,” said Archford Guvuriro, President of Lowveld Football Academy. “We’re confident they will make an impact and continue to grow in their careers. This is just the beginning for them.”

The academy also took time to recognize the support system behind the players.

“We want to thank the parents for their constant support and belief in both the players and our development model,” said Team Manager Emmanuel Chikwava. “Their involvement has been a key factor in the players’ progress.”

Lowveld Football Academy remains committed to nurturing emerging talent and creating clear pathways to professional football. The academy looks forward to following Walter and Ruben’s progress and celebrating many more success stories in the future.
