International Boxing Federation (IBF) International Minimum-weight champion Beaven Sibanda is basking in the glory of his historic win after receiving a lavish gift from businessman Wicknell Chivayo. Sibanda, who made history by becoming the first Zimbabwean boxer to win the IBF International Minimum-weight title, was gifted a brand new Mercedes Benz C200 and $10,000 cash.
Sibanda won the title in a thrilling match against Richard Garde of the Philippines, knocking him out in the fifth round of a 12-round match in South Africa. The victory marked a milestone in Sibanda's career, and he dedicated the belt to his former coach, the late Sensei Mugo.
Chivayo, who was watching an international boxing match in the UK, took to social media to celebrate Sibanda's achievement and gifted him the car and cash as a token of appreciation for his hard work and dedication to the sport.
The gift has left Sibanda over the moon, and he expressed his gratitude to Chivayo for the generous gesture. Sibanda's win and subsequent gift have sparked celebrations in the boxing fraternity, with many hailing him as a national hero.
