Chitungwiza Municipality is set to launch the Mayor’s Christmas Cheer Fund on December 5, 2022 at the Chitungwiza Municipality Head Office.
The fund is aimed at sourcing goodies for distribution to the less privileged towards Christmas.
In a statement, the Municipality said the less privileged in society require a helping hand.
“It is that time of the year once again when we will be merrymaking with our relatives and friends during the festive season. Some do not have anyone to look after them in our communities, and these are the less privileged.
“They include the elderly, orphaned children, those with special conditions, the widowed and widowers,” he said.
The municipality reiterated the need for members of the community to answer to the plight of the less privileged.
