Bail application has been denied to a man who stabbed to death his former wife’s lover.
Innocent Zaruma (39) of Eastview, Mabvuku in Harare, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Court accused of murder as defined in Section 47 of the Criminal Law Codification and Reform Act Chapter 9:23 and attempted murder as defined in Section 189.
The court heard that Zaruma fatally stabbed Surance Sithole in the abdomen and also stabbed his ex-wife Talent Somba five times on the back of the head, left thigh, both hands and on the knee.
Somba is in critical condition.
Magistrate Dennis Mangosi postponed the case to 6 December, 2022 and advised Zaruma to approach the High Court for bail.
