Two men have been taken to court accused of stealing zip bags.

Tinotenda Mukwada, 18, and Tinei Gwari, 29, appeared before magistrate Ethel Chichera at the Harare Magistrates' Courts charged with theft.

The State, through prosecutor Polite Chikiwa, alleges that the complainant bought several boxes of zip bags and stored them in a warehouse.

The accused together with others who are still at large came up with a way of stealing from the complainant on different occasions.

It is alleged that on September 13, the complainant went to Mbare Musika and visited Mukwada's market place and saw many empty boxes written her name and matched the ones which had been stolen from her at Road port in Harare.

It is alleged that Mukwada stated that he had stolen them from the complainant's warehouse and implicated Gwari who stated that he had helped in carrying the boxes to a safe place.

The zip bags were given to one rasta and Kuda who are still at large who then sold them to different buyers.

They were granted bail of US$100 each and will appear in court on October 2, 2024.
