An unnamed woman who could not stomach the explicit messages from her husband’s suspected girlfriend in his phone and scalded his privates using boiling water sentenced to a wholly suspended 16 months imprisonment.
The woman appeared before Harare magistrate Stanford Mambanje, who found her guilty of assault.
Mambanje suspended eight months on condition of good behaviour while the other eight months were set aside for 280 hours of community service at Epworth Local Board.

According to the State, the woman was infuriated after discovering explicit messages from her husband’s suspected girlfriend and poured boiling water over her husband Tafadzwa Kachepa (33)’s genitals while he was asleep.
The incident happened on September 3 this year after she had confronted Kachepa over infidelity.
Kachepa sustained injuries on the genitals, Thighs and buttocks and he produced a medical affidavit as evidence of the injuries.
