The High Court has interdicted Sengezo Tshabangu from continuing to recall CCC members.
Speaking at the High Court after the judgement CCC lawyer, Obey Shava, said Chabangu was stopped from making further recalls.
“The High Court has suspended any further recalls pending the disposition and the hearing of that urgent chamber application …”
The CCC had made an urgent chamber application seeking to have Tshabangu barred from representing the party in any way or forum.
Before the interdict, Tshabangu recalled several CCC members of the National Assembly, Senators and councillors with the last batch of 13 more legislators being recalled from Parliament today.
The 13 include Amos Chibaya (Mkoba) and the opposition party’s deputy spokesperson, Gift Ostallos Siziba of Pelandaba-Tshabalala.
While giving the CCC the relief, Justice Tawanda Chitapi, who had the application at the High Court, also allowed Tshabangu time to file his opposing papers.
