A man who was part of a gang that went to a complainant’s house and stole US$35 000 has appeared in court.
Calvin Gasura, 29, of Karoi, appeared before the Harare Magistrates’ Courts accused of robbery.

While they were lying down, Gasura took Mutasa’s 7.65mm FN Browning pistol serial number 486551 with a magazine of seven rounds and forced them into the yard, demanding money.
Gasura broke the locked door using a hammer for him to enter the house.
While in the house, Gasura and his accomplices fired a shot and started assaulting Mutasa’s wife demanding money.
Mareve was using a button stick in the assault.
They ordered Mutasa to go upstairs where he took US$30 000 and gave the accused persons.
They also stole a Samsung S10, ITEL, CCTV Saver, and Mercedes Benz car keys.
The State also alleges that they forced Mutasa’s wife and the builders upstairs and ordered them to lie down.
