The drivers of a Toyota Hilux vehicle and a Honda Fit died on the spot yesterday morning in an accident involving three vehicles in an accident at Christmas Pass along the Mutare-Harare highway.
Manucaland provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Norbert Muzondo confirmed the accident, saying it happened when a Toyota Hilux truck tried to overtake a Honda Fit vehicle and collided with an oncoming 30-tonne truck before swerving and hitting the Honda Fit vehicle.
The accident resulted in the drivers of the Toyota Hilux and Honda Fit dying on the spot.
