A man who caught his co-tenant sitting on his bed in his bedroom assaulted the latter before inserting a sex toy into his behind is now before the courts in Bulawayo.
Desire Moyo, 28, caught Tendai Govere, 22, in his bedroom with his wife and appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Dambudzo Malunga, facing two counts of assault and aggravated indecent assault.
Moyo pleaded not guilty to both counts and was remanded in custody to Tuesday next week for trial.
It is reported that Moyo’s wife, Patience Ncube, repeatedly phoned Govere, requesting him to visit her at her room.
The court heard that Govere was initially reluctant, but he finally visited her in the evening since Desire was not around.
When he got inside, the court heard, Patience called him into the bedroom and asked him to sit on the bed.
Unfortunately, things went nasty when Moyo unexpectedly returned and started assaulting him with a leather belt and fists all over the body.
Moyo, who was seething with anger, handcuffed Govere and continued to assault him, the court heard.
Govere bled profusely as a result of the attack.
Moyo then removed Govere’s pair of trousers and inserted a sex toy repeatedly into his rear for two hours, while recording a video of the abuse.
Other tenants at the house came to Govere's rescue when they phoned Khumalo Police Station and police officers swiftly reacted and arrested Moyo.
