Embattled National Social Security Authority’s Investments Director, Brian Murewa is allegedly on the run amid fraud and corruption allegations.
This follows a financial probe on the national insurer where millions were reportedly siphoned from the State-run pension fund.
Consequently, Murewa has gone dark, prompting corruption watchdog, which made the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission to issue a “whereabouts sought notification”.
“The Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission in its ongoing Financial Investigations at NSSA is interested to interview Brian Murewa (NSSA Investments Manager) to assist in the investigations.
“Anyone with information regarding the present whereabouts of Brian Murewa to assist in advising him to contact ZACC Investigations Department on 0719529483 0242 369602/5/8/14.”
Recent media reports that he had been suspended on allegations of corruption and fraud emanating from exposed scandalous acquisition of properties by NSSA forced Murewa to disappear.
