Harare giants Dynamos F.C. have been omitted from the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup following a financial dispute with former head coach Saul Chaminuka, leaving the Zimbabwean club out of the 56-team draw.

The exclusion stems from an unresolved financial conflict with Chaminuka, who filed a complaint with FIFA to recover approximately $13,000 in unpaid salary arrears. Although Dynamos attempted a last-minute resolution by settling half of the outstanding amount two hours before the sanction deadline, FIFA rejected the partial payment and enforced full exclusion from the tournament.
The administrative penalty carries significant financial consequences for the club. Beyond missing continental competition, Dynamos forfeits a guaranteed $100,000 preliminary round participation bonus.
