Dynamos supporters have come out strongly in defence of suspended head coach Genesis "Kaka" Mangombe, with many questioning the timing of the club's decision and warning against repeating mistakes that have contributed to years of instability at the Glamour Boys.
Mangombe was suspended by the club pending investigations into allegations of misconduct, a move that has divided opinion within the DeMbare family. However, a significant section of the club's supporters believe the coach is being unfairly targeted at a time when the team was beginning to show signs of progress.
The former Triangle United coach, who returned to Dynamos at the beginning of the 2026 season on, leaves the technical bench with a respectable record of eight wins, nine draws and only two defeats from 19 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League matches. His side had accumulated 30 points and remained firmly in the title conversation.
Many supporters argue that those statistics demonstrate that Mangombe deserved support rather than suspension.
"As a lifelong Dynamos supporter, I view the suspension of Genesis 'Kaka' Mangombe with deep disappointment, concern and outrage," said supporter Tendai Muchada.
"At a time when the team has finally begun showing signs of stability, fighting spirit and improved performances, the club has chosen to plunge itself into another self-inflicted crisis."
Muchada questioned the timing of the suspension, arguing that supporters have witnessed similar scenarios in the past where positive momentum was disrupted by off-field controversies.
"The accusations against Mangombe are extremely serious, but accusations are not evidence. If there is credible evidence, let it be investigated fairly and transparently," he said.

Another supporter, Frank Munjoma, drew comparisons with previous coaching departures at the club.
"I was reading the letter Dynamos wrote to Kaka, and honestly it feels like the same script they used on Herbert Maruwa. If the club no longer wants a coach, just say so. There is no need to tarnish someone's image and reputation in the process," said Munjoma.
He added that Mangombe had sacrificed a stable coaching position at Triangle United because of his love for Dynamos and deserved to be treated with dignity.
Social media platforms were also flooded with reactions from supporters who felt the executive should have handled the matter differently.
"It’s unprofessional. If they feel they no longer want him, let him go peacefully without making accusations. The team was playing well. Don't kill football," said Chare Nhamo.
Others pointed to Dynamos' long history of parting ways with successful coaches, arguing that changing coaches has rarely solved the club's deeper challenges.
"Whoever takes over from Kaka will have to prove beyond any reasonable doubt that he possesses better technical ability, tactical knowledge and man-management skills than Genesis Mangombe," said another supporter.
"The bigger question is whether changing coaches is the real solution. Coaches need stability, quality player recruitment and backing from the executive."
