Matchday 18 in the Premier Soccer League and Matchday 12 in the Central Region Soccer League proved to be a miserable weekend for Zvishavane football clubs, as FC Platinum, Shabanie Mine, Sabi Gold Mine and Platinum Royals all suffered defeats.
The poor run started with FC Platinum, who went down 2-0 to Ngezi Platinum Stars at Mandava Stadium, recording their second home defeat of the season and adding to concerns over the team's recent struggles on home soil.
Shabanie Mine, who had at one stage shown signs of mounting a serious challenge in the Central Region Division One League, continued to struggle for consistency after falling 1-0 to MSU.
Things were no better for Sabi Gold Mine, who were handed a heavy 3-0 defeat by Central Region Soccer League leaders Chapungu.
The misery extended to the women's game as Platinum Royals also came out second best, losing 2-1 to Chapungu Queens and ensuring that all four clubs from the mining town ended the weekend empty-handed.
