Zim Mining Executive July Ndlovu Joins Implats Board

Platinum group metals producer Impala Platinum (Implats) has appointed Zimbabwean mining executive July Ndlovu as an independent non-executive director, effective May 1, in a move that strengthens the company’s leadership and governance structures.

Implats said Ndlovu’s appointment is expected to enhance strategic oversight at board level, drawing on his extensive experience across Africa’s mining industry.

Ndlovu is widely recognised for his leadership in the resources sector, having previously served as chief executive officer of Thungela Resources, where he guided the coal producer through a critical period of growth and operational consolidation. He currently chairs the Coal Industry Advisory Board of the International Energy Agency, contributing to global discussions on energy and mining sustainability.
