Highlanders End Winless Run

Joy has returned to the stands for Highlanders FC after the Bulawayo giants secured their first win of the season on matchday eight, defeating Chicken Inn FC 3–1 in a lively derby clash.

After enduring a frustrating run of seven consecutive draws, Bosso finally broke through, much to the relief of their loyal supporters who had been eagerly waiting for a victory. The result lifts Highlanders to 10th place on the league table with 10 points, while CAPS United continue to set the pace at the top with 19 points.

Head coach Benjamin Mwaruwari stressed the importance of the win, particularly in front of the home crowd, but was quick to temper expectations.

“We should not be carried away with this win as if we have made it because we still have more games ahead,” said Mwaruwari.
