Pio rallies Dynamos faithful after Scotland FC humiliation

After a bruising pre-season defeat that sent shockwaves through the Glamour Boys' faithful, Dynamos FC midfielder Tellmore Pio has stepped forward to calm the nerves of the DeMbare nation.

Following a humbling loss to a high spending, star-studded Scotland FC side, questions have been raised regarding the readiness of the Harare giants. However, Pio insists that the setback was a "necessary wake-up call" rather than a sign of things to come.

Speaking ahead of the team’s much anticipated Castle Premier Soccer League (PSL) opener against TelOne FC this Saturday, Pio is adamant that the squad has already processed the loss and converted their disappointment into fuel.

The midfielder acknowledged that whilst the result against the lower tier "millionaires" was difficult to stomach, the lessons learnt will be invaluable for their league campaign.

"To our supporters, we hear your pain and we share it. Losing in that manner was a bitter pill to swallow, but pre-season is for identifying where the cracks are before the real battle commences," Pio stated. "We are Dynamos. We do not stay down. We are travelling to Gweru with one mission to prove that the blue flame is still burning bright."

Dynamos travel to Ascot Stadium to face a resilient TelOne side. For the fans, the opening fixture is seen as a litmus test for the club’s title credentials and their ability to handle the pressure of being the nation's most scrutinised club.
