Head coach Sithethelelwe “Kwinji” Sibanda believes preparation has been thorough, but insists the key to victory lies in the players’ mindset. “Tactically, we have prepared. We know they are technically good players, but what we need is just the mental strength. As far as we want to overcome in this match, we need to be at the best in terms of our mental strength,” she said.

Zambia, known for their technical quality and attacking prowess, will once again pose a serious threat. However, the Mighty Warriors are banking on improved discipline, sharper execution, and renewed confidence to overcome their opponents.

Support for the team has also come from the Zimbabwe Football Association leadership. ZIFA Vice President Kennedy Ndebele visited the squad to boost morale ahead of the encounter, reaffirming the association’s commitment to the women’s national team.

“We have been sent by the president to tell you that you got our full support,” said Ndebele, assuring the players that the association stands firmly behind them as they push for success in the regional tournament.
