Blessing Muzarabani Set to Join Islamabad United After Shamar Joseph Exit

ESPNcricinfo reports that Islamabad United have moved to bring back Zimbabwe fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani following the departure of West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph.

Joseph had been signed by the franchise at his base price of PKR 11 million during the Pakistan Super League auction, where he went unchallenged by other teams. However, reports indicate that the agreement between the player and the franchise has since been terminated by mutual consent.

The decision was taken as Islamabad United seek to strengthen their fast-bowling options, with Muzarabani viewed as a more suitable fit for the team’s current plans.

The 29-year-old has prior experience in the Pakistan Super League and previously represented Islamabad United, including being part of the squad that lifted the trophy in 2021.

ESPNcricinfo further reports that both parties have opted not to comment publicly on the matter, and that the replacement is expected to receive formal clearance from the league’s technical committee.
