Rising football talent Thapelo Pande has returned from a "life-changing" stint in Spain, with his sights now firmly set on the national Under-20 team.

Pande recently completed an intensive training tour with the Heritage Real Oviedo Football Academy, where he was exposed to the high-performance environment of Spanish professional football. The young player received direct feedback from elite coaches at Real Oviedo, a club famous for producing stars like Santi Cazorla and Juan Mata.

Since returning to Zimbabwe, Pande’s growth has been impossible to miss. His local coach, who has worked with him for over a year, described a significant shift in the player's approach to the game.

"The exposure to top-level training has been a game-changer," his coach said. "Thapelo has returned with a new mindset. His dedication and passion on the pitch have reached a new level, and we've been working hard to turn the feedback he got in Spain into results here at home."

The focus now shifts to the national stage. Given his recent form and international exposure, many believe a call-up to the National Under-20 squad is the natural next step.

"We are beyond excited for him," his coaching staff added. "His hard work is paying off, and we hope the national selectors are watching. He is ready for the next level."
