Inside Job Gone Wrong: Service Station Worker Linked to Foiled Robbery Plot

A 25-year-old service station attendant from Waterfalls has been arrested after police uncovered a failed armed robbery plot targeting the fuel station where he worked.

Prosper Zhuwawu is accused of secretly working with a group planning to rob DA Service Station’s Runiville branch in Highlands, Harare.

Investigators say the plot was hatched in November 2025, with Zhuwawu allegedly using his position to feed accomplices information about cash movements at the station.

On November 30, while on duty, he is said to have sent real-time updates to the group as they monitored activity at the premises.
