Redcliff Tenant Jailed Four Months for Indecent Assault on Landlord’s Daughter

A 31-year-old man from Millennium Park in Redcliff has been sentenced to an effective four months in prison after he was convicted of indecent assault by the Kwekwe Magistrates’ Court.

The incident occurred on November 2, 2025, around 8 pm, when the offender, who was a tenant at the complainant’s house, entered the section of the house where the victim — a young woman — was sleeping on a sofa.

Despite being told she was asleep, he proceeded into the room, pulled down her underwear to knee level, and remained there.

However, the offender returned at around 1 am. When confronted, he apologised, claiming he did not know what had come over him, before fleeing the premises again.

He pleaded guilty in court and was sentenced to seven months’ imprisonment, with three months suspended on condition of good behaviour, leaving him to serve an effective four months behind bars
