What was meant to be a joyful family gathering at the Musekesa homestead in Mberengwa ended in chaos after two adult brothers got into heated argument over four slices of bread, leaving one hospitalized.

According to witnesses, tensions arose when Givemore Musekesa, the elder brother, complained to his sister, Ashley, demanding that more bread be added to his plate. At the time, his younger brother Trymore Musekesa had not yet been served.
One of the family members who witnessed the incident narrating, “Givemore was not happy with the number of slices he got. He told Ashley to add more to his plate, but Trymore felt it was unfair since he had not received any.”
The disagreement quickly escalated into a heated argument. Trymore reportedly accused his elder brother of being selfish and inconsiderate. In response, Givemore allegedly assaulted his younger brother.
“Givemore slapped Trymore, and that’s when things got worse,” said another family member. “Trymore then picked up a stone and struck Givemore at the back of his head. He immediately fell to the ground.”
Family members rushed to help Givemore, who was later taken to Mberengwa District Hospital for medical treatment.
