Bulawayo Court Hands Down Five-Year Sentence for Crystal Meth Dealer

A 39-year-old drug peddler, Tyron Siegfried Pigors of Matsheumhlophe in Bulawayo, has been sentenced to five years behind bars for dealing in crystal methamphetamine. Pigors was convicted by the Bulawayo Regional Court after being found in possession of 1.2 kilograms of crystal meth worth over US$6,000.

The Zimbabwe Republic Police officers arrested Pigors on March 6 this year, after acting on a tip-off. A search of his home revealed crystal methamphetamine sachets concealed in various hiding spots, including a fake dictionary safe box, a biscuit box, and a Puma shoe box. Digital scales and a kitchen scale were also seized, indicating Pigors' involvement in the drug trade.
