
Beitbridge police are investigating a suspected murder case following the discovery of a couple’s bodies at their residence in the town’s Medium Density suburb.
According to police, the bodies of Nyasha Madenyika ,32, and Farai Prosper Longwe ,34, were found in a room on 11 September 2025. Both victims had gunshot wounds, with Madenyika shot in the cheek and Longwe on the right side of the ear.
“The bodies had gunshot wounds, with Nyasha Madenyika shot in the cheek and Farai Prosper Longwe on the right side of the ear,” read the police statement.

A Smith & Wesson revolver was recovered at the scene, loaded with three live rounds and found in Longwe’s right hand. Investigators also recovered three spent cartridges and 36 additional live rounds.
“The police recovered a Smith & Wesson revolver loaded with three live rounds, which was found in Farai Prosper Longwe’s right hand, along with three spent cartridges and 36 live rounds,” the statement continued.
Police have launched a full investigation into the incident and said further details will be released as inquiries progress.
