Warriors and Scotland-based forward Khama Billiat has been omitted from Zimbabwe’s senior men’s football squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifiers against Benin and Rwanda.
Head coach Michael Nees announced the 24-man roster, confirming Billiat as one of two notable absentees due to medical reasons. Marley Tavaziva also misses out through injury, while midfielder Andy Rinomhota has been left out as he is reportedly finalizing a move to a new club.
Despite Billiat’s absence, his Scotland FC teammates, Knowledge Musona and Godknows Murwira, have both been included. Dynamos FC captain Emmanuel Jalai has also been called up, along with MWOS FC goalkeeper Martin Mapisa.
In a surprise selection, team captain Marvelous Nakamba made the squad despite limited game time at his club, Luton Town FC.
The Warriors will be looking to make a strong start in their qualification campaign with this new-look side.
