Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) held a caucus meeting on Tuesday to discuss the government loans meant to benefit legislators.

The meeting which was held in the capital comes on the backdrop of CCC leader Nelson Chamisa’s warning to the party’s parliamentarians that they should not take the money.

“I have told them that if you do not act accordingly, you know what it means, the citizens are waiting for you, and they are going to punish you and punish you happily.

“So that one is already catered for, I do not agree, encourage or support it. I do not believe that people must be talking about their welfare when the nation is struggling the way we are struggling,” he said.

The CCC leader also said that the money will do so much if it’s directed towards the health care system which is in shambles.

“To call it a loan is to be very nice; this is a bribe disguised as a loan, a donkey is a donkey, you cannot call a lion a cat,” Chamisa added then.

However, in an emotional charged meeting Tendai Biti took time to lecture to the Change Champion in Chief.

According to well-placed sources Biti told his principal that the loans were meant for MPs.

“TB (Tendai Biti) gave a small lecture to president Chamisa, he clearly told him that the loans are meant for us not the party and no cent will be directed to the party, if we fail to repay the loans we are ones who will face the consequences,” said the source.

According to our well-placed source, Chamisa had to give in.

“After a heated debate on the matter Chamisa had to give in and some MPs actually showed him some tittle deeds and he said itai zvinhu zvenyu akomana (Do your own things guys),” our source revealed.
