The Zimbabwean government has entered a public-private partnership with Hena Concessions Company to upgrade the Harare-Nyamapanda Road and Nyamapanda Border Post.
The government announced that a deal was imminent a few days ago.
The Harare-Nyamapanda highway upgrade project nears completion.
As stated by Transport Permanent Secretary Eng. Joy Pedzisai Makumbe, the project will include
Dualisation of key road sections to ease congestion
Construction of a modern toll plaza
Comprehensive border post modernization
Timelines to be announced later.
Hena Concessions was incorporated in South Africa on 21 Nov 2024, and its director, Wesley Tendaupenyu, is the CEO of Lidwala Consulting Engineers.
