A Bluffhill man has taken his estranged wife, whom he had lived with for 17 years, to court saying she is full of insecurities.
Joshua Chiremba took Talent Chiremba to the Harare Civil Court accusing her of leaving their marital home three months ago without informing anyone.
"She is my wife. She ran away from home in December 2022 and to date I don’t even know where she is living. I went to her parents asking for her whereabouts but they were also not informed and actually told me they thought l was with her.
"I have insecurities about her and to say l know where she is living now would be a lie," he said.
He told the court that whenever they had a misunderstanding, Talent would call outsiders.
"We have three children, sometimes she can even call them if we are in a dispute.
"I married her and we wedded, but the obstacles l am enduring because of her are too many to mention," he said.
Talent denied the allegations made by Joshua saying they had a problem long back which was caused by him.
"He told me to leave the house long back saying he wanted to start new projects with his new wife," she said.
She told the court that he was lying about his parents as they also knew his behavior.
"What he is saying about my parents is a lie. They know him to be a talkative person so they just told him what he wanted to hear from them," she said.
She added that, she had left her matrimonial home without nothing.
"He wants the peace order for him to have full custody of the children. He does not want me to see the children. Back in the day he would follow me, even hiding behind objects to see where l will going," she said.
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi who presided over the matter granted the peace order in favour of Joshua. Talent was ordered not to harass, insult or assault him.
