St Mary’s Constituency is still reeling from the brutal murder of local resident Peter Kampira during a robbery, with area Member of Parliament Brighton Mazhindu calling for justice.

In a statement released today, Mazhindu said he was “deeply saddened and outraged” by the killing, which he linked to a national crisis of escalating violence and rampant drug abuse among youths.
“This tragic incident comes at a time when the nation is still grappling with the arrest of a notorious murderer in Guruve, underscoring a disturbing trend,” Mazhindu said.
He stated that the growing disregard for the sanctity of human life must alarm everyone, warning that the continued erosion of respect for life requires urgent and collective action.
