
ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi seized the opportunity of the Confederation of African Football's 47th General Congress in the Democratic Republic of Congo to engage with his FIFA counterpart Gianni Infantino and CAF supremo Patrice Motsepe.
Magwizi who together with ZIFA General Secretary Yvonne Manwa are in Kinshasa, also met with FIFA's chief for Member Associations Gelson Fernandes.
Sources say FIFA and CAF were keen to know how Zimbabwe is progressing in the post Normalisation Committee era under the Magwizi executive committee.

Both FIFA and CAF place greater significance to governance issues and adherence to constitutional requirements.
ZIFA is still undergoing reforms which were initiated by FIFA through the Normalisation Committee.
Motsepe on his part has always also acknowledged Zimbabwe's importance both as a CAF member and key player in the Southern African Zone.
