Four Zimbabwean match officials has been appointed by FIFA to take charge of an upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026™ qualifier.

The crucial Matchday 7 fixture between South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo is set for 5 September 2025 at the National Stadium in Juba.

Leading the officiating team will be Brighton Chimene, who has been entrusted with the responsibility of refereeing the encounter. He will be supported on the sidelines by assistant referees Luckson Mhara and Edgar Rumeck, while Lawrence Zimondi will serve as the fourth official.

ZIFA has welcomed the assignment, describing it as recognition of the quality and professionalism of local referees, who continue to make their mark beyond the domestic game.
