"This season has boosted my confidence, challenged me to grow, and allowed me to contribute to a championship-winning team before my move to NCAA Division I at Radford," Zimbeva told ZimNow.
22 year old Zimbabwean-American midfielder Noel Zimbeva "Baba Thiago" has reaffirmed his ambition to represent the Zimbabwe senior men's national football team, saying he is determined to earn a Warriors call-up through consistent performances as he continues his football journey in the United States.
Zimbeva made the remarks over the phone interview with ZimNow Sports after completing a successful season with Central Kansas United, where he helped the club win the league title before securing a move to NCAA Division I side Radford University.
"First of all, I want to thank everyone at Central Kansas United. They gave me the opportunity to play, trusted me, and helped prepare me for the next step of my journey. This season has boosted my confidence, challenged me to grow, and allowed me to contribute to a championship-winning team before my move to NCAA Division I at Radford," said Zimbeva.
Although naturally a midfielder, Zimbeva enjoyed a remarkable campaign in front of goal, finishing among the club's leading scorers and netting the decisive goal in the championship final.
"Being a top goalscorer and scoring the winning goal in a final isn't something you imagine as a midfielder, but like I said, this season really helped me identify space and how to use it efficiently," he said.

The talented midfielder said representing Zimbabwe remains one of his biggest career ambitions and believes the Warriors have the quality to compete on the biggest stage.
"To the people of Zimbabwe, I want you to know that I carry the flag with pride wherever I go. Representing my country has always been an ambition of mine, but my focus is on earning that opportunity through my performances and hard work."
"I don't just want to wear the Zimbabwe jersey, I want to help build a team that believes it can compete with the best and qualify for the FIFA World Cup. Zimbabwe has the talent to dream bigger, and if I'm fortunate enough to be part of the national team, I'll give everything I have every time I step onto the pitch."
"For now, my job is simple: keep improving, keep performing and make Zimbabwe proud wherever football takes me."
Zimbeva has been steadily progressing through the American football system, combining his development in collegiate football with competitive matches at club level. His standout performances for Central Kansas United earned him a move to Radford University, where he will compete in NCAA Division I, one of the highest levels of university football in the United States.
His rise comes at a time when Zimbabwe continues to cast its net wider in search of talented players in the diaspora.
Should he maintain his current trajectory at Radford, Zimbeva could emerge as another promising option for the Warriors as the national team looks to strengthen its squad for future Africa Cup of Nations and FIFA World Cup qualification campaigns.
