Chatunga Mugabe Attempted Murder Case Postponed to April 17

The Alexandra Magistrates’ Court in Johannesburg has postponed the attempted murder case involving Chatunga Mugabe and his cousin, Tobias Matonhodze, to April 17, 2026.

Prosecutors, who had previously indicated that a plea deal was close to being finalised, told the court they were not yet ready to proceed. The magistrate warned that this would be the final postponement and stressed that the matter must go ahead on the next scheduled date.
