
The Zimbabwe Police Service has transferred over 20 officers, including detective sergeants and constables, to various stations across the country. The transfers, which were necessitated by poor performance, were approved and are expected to be implemented immediately.
According to a police signal, the officers were transferred because of incompetence. "The following transfers which have been necessitated by poor performance by members as evidenced by failure to meet set targets in terms of quality arrests, investigation, and management of criminal cases have been approved and should be implemented accordingly."

The signal, which was sent to all stations, instructed officers commanding provinces to facilitate the smooth transportation of the transferred members. "Officers commanding provinces who are receiving transferred members should facilitate their smooth transportation."
The officers are expected to report to their new stations by October 2, 2025.
Some of the officers transferred include Detective Sergeant Gondo K from CID Bindura to Kanyemba, Detective Sergeant Bikiwani T from CID Bindura to Mvurwi, and Constable Chare V from CID Bindura to Centenary.
