A devastating accident occurred earlier today along Seke Road at the Chitungwiza Bridge, involving a commuter omnibus and a truck.
According to eyewitnesses and reports from the scene, the omnibus—carrying passengers from Harare’s city center—collided head-on with a truck coming from Chitungwiza.
At the moment, at least 17 people have been confirmed dead by medical personnel at the scene.
Traffic in the area has been severely disrupted as emergency services work to assist the injured and clear the wreckage.
