Victoria Falls Stock Exchange listed gold moning giant, Caledonia Mining Plc, has announced record gold production from its Blanket Mine for the second quarter and first half of 2025, leading to an upward revision of its full-year production guidance.
For the second quarter ended June 30, 2025, Blanket Mine produced 21,070 ounces of gold, marking a new record for a second quarter and an increase from the 20,773 ounces produced in the same period of 2024.
The strong performance continued through the first half of 2025, with total gold production reaching 39,741 ounces. This represents a 5.1% increase compared to the 37,823 ounces produced in the first half of 2024.
In light of these robust results, Caledonia has increased its production guidance for Blanket Mine for the full year 2025 to a range of 75,500 to 79,500 ounces of gold.
Mark Learmonth, Chief Executive Officer of Caledonia Mining Corporation, commented on the results, stating, "Production in the first half of 2025 was excellent and has exceeded our expectations. As a result of this strong performance, we are increasing our annual production guidance. This performance is a testament to the dedication and hard work of our team."
Learmonth further emphasized the significance of the Blanket Mine, adding, "Blanket Mine continues to provide a solid foundation for growth. As we move forward, we are confident that it will continue to be a cornerstone of our success, driving value for our shareholders."
